Redefining Abundance
I feel an overflowing sense of abundance in my life right now, but I don’t necessarily mean financially. Your brain went right to money, didn’t it? I get it. I hear that word abundance and in my brain I just picture dollar bills raining from the sky. Kind of silly, isn’t it?
But when I truly think about what Abundance means to me it includes:
My health
Safety
Freedom of TIME
Having loving & nourishing relationships
Fulfillment from having a deep sense of purpose - dharma!
The ability to learn, grow and expand
Tools to support my own well-being
The ability to communicate my needs, wants, thoughts, feelings and deepest desires and hopes
When I googled the definition for Abundance, here is what I found from The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language:
Abundance: noun
A great or plentiful amount.
The condition of being in rich supply.
Degree of plentifulness.
So instead of money raining from the sky, I ask you this:
What are you rich in supply with?
What do you have plenty of in your life?
Hint: If you answered: “Stress!” or “Problems!” or “Debt!” that is also actually very valuable information about where your work lies to improve the conditions in your life. However, these questions are meant to give you a tool to reframe the way you think about Abundance because my friends, Abundance is NOT really about $ at all. It is about paying attention to what is and what you already have plenty of!
What is happening in your life right now that you feel deeply grateful for?
What are the things in your life that just stop you in your tracks sometimes and make you think, “Damn, I am so lucky/blessed!”?
Where are you when you feel most at peace?
Who are you with when you laugh your ass off and/or feel the most you?
What are you doing when you feel the most joy? Peace? Relaxed?
The answers to these questions can be quite telling of all the abundance you already experience in your life.
The things I feel most grateful for as we head into Thanksgiving tomorrow are my health, my family and my business. Being able to help my clients from anywhere, while I heal from surgery and not relying on my physical presence to do so has totally changed my entire life! I am so grateful for each and every person I have had the opportunity to serve and support. Including YOU!
Thank you for being a small part of the Elevated Living Community and my life. I am deeply grateful for all the blessings and abundance in my life.
Here is a peak of the precious moments in my life as of late…
